Citroen as well as Le Coq Sportif team-up for traditional H van homage

The Citroen H van, the traditional industrial vehicle cherished of today’s stylish street-food vendors, is 70 years old this year. Citroen clearly felt it needed to mark the event as well as has selected to do so with two extremely special one-off van conversions at the 2017 industrial vehicle Show. 
In what the manufacturer explains as a “natural partnership between two iconic French brands” Citroen joined forces with Le Coq Sportif to turn a traditional H van as well as a contemporary dispatch into mobile bicycle workshops. The two Citroen vehicles are decked-out in a great tricolour colour plan with the logos of sportswear brand, Le Coq Sportif, prominently placed.

Inside, the two vans offer bicycle repair work facilities reflecting their respective times. The H van focuses on ‘authenticity as well as nostalgia’ with chocolate leather, light wood completes as well as simple tools hanging from the walls. The Despatch treads a more contemporary path with black wood, white leather – featuring red, white as well as blue stitching – as well as a roof rack for bring two bikes.

In the engine bay, the 1947 H van retains its 1.9-litre 52bhp engine, resulting in a declared 63mph top speed. The dispatch gets Citroen’s latest 1.6-litre BlueHDi Euro6 diesel. The two vans are set to be utilized at Le Coq Sportif marketing events throughout the year.
